Driveclub’s Director Promises Improvements Before Release; Talks Manual Gears and Camera Options

Driveclub‘s Game Director Paul Rustchynsky, has been hard at work responding questions from fans, and today he shared a few more details about the game on Twitter.

Rustchynsky tackled a question from a fan asking if the sound in the recent gameplay videos was placeholder or final, promising that the team is still going to improve “all aspects” of Driveclub all the way to the game’s release in October, and that includes sound.

He also explained that there is an option for manual gears in the game, but in the gameplay videos the RPM was turned off on purpose. It will be in the final game and on by default.

Finally he also mentioned that there are two chase camera in the game: “Near” and “Far,” but the far option won’t be quite as far as the one included in the old and glorious Virtua Racing.

He finally explained that if you’ve played MotorStorm RC, you’ll have a good idea of what the team is doing with Microtransactions in Driveclub.

One thing is for sure: Driveclub already looks great now, and there are still five months to go. It’ll be interesting to see just how far Rustchynsky’s team will manage to push it.
