Driveclub Director on PS4’s Limits: “There Is Still Plenty We Can Do;” News Coming After Next Week’s Update

on November 13, 2015 11:52 AM

Today Driveclub Game Director Paul Rustchynsky talked about the PS4, upcoming updates to the game, and about a new tech introduced with the latest patch, named “Self shadowing parallax occlusion mapping.”

First of all, he mentioned that there’s still “plenty” that can be done with the PS4’s power, responding to an user who asked if Driveclub pushed the hardware close to the limit.

Interestingly, if you’re wondering when we’ll hear about the new content coming next month, the wait won’t be long:

There’s actually a chance that Rustchynsky will be at PlayStation Experience next month, but nothing has been confirmed just yet. It’ll be interesting to see if he’ll have something new to show.

Lastly, he showcased the newly-introduced technology in action:

I don’t know about you, but it’s definitely refreshing for me to see a developer continuing to push the tech on a game that has been released over a year ago. Way to go, Evolution!
