When Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links released back in 2017, it was able to successfully bring fans of the old school series back into the fold, while at the same time being accessible for hardcore players, as evidenced by it's 40 million downloads in just a few months. Now, almost a year and a half later, that number has nearly doubled, as Konami is reporting that the card game has been downloaded over 80 million times since launch.

To celebrate this impressive occasion, the developer says that it'll be holding an in-game Commemorative Campaign, which will give up to 500 gems to players over the next few days. To get them, all anybody has to do is simply log in.

This news comes only a month or so after the brand new 5D's world was added to the game, which features characters from the series' second spin-off, like Yusei Fudo, Jack Atlas, Crow Hogan, and more.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links is available on iOS and Android devices, as well as PC.
