October 7, 2021

It’s almost that time of the month once again in which players all over the world come together for a few hours, with their attention focused on a single Pokemon species.

Over the last year, the likes of Oshawott, Swablu and Gible have stepped into the Community Day spotlight and now, rather fittingly, it’s the turn of Ghost-type Pokemon Duskull.

With only a limited amount of time to catch the Pokemon and complete the day’s activities, it pays to be prepared.

So, to help you out, here is everything you need to know ahead of the Duskull Pokemon GO Community Day, including the start date, time, bonuses and shiny details.

Duskull October Community Day Start Date and Time

The October Pokemon GO Community Day kicks off this Saturday, October 9.

It runs for a total of six hours, starting at 11 am in your local time and finishing at 5 pm.

Duskull October Community Day Shiny Details

As stated, Shiny Duskull will be appearing far more frequently than usual.

According to The Silph Road, Duskull usually has about a 1/500 base rate of being shiny, which isn’t particularly enticing. However, as part of Community Day, that rate will drop to around 1/25. It does pay to remember that RNG will still play a big part.

In terms of looks, Duskull changes from a black with a white skull to red with a white skull. Its evolution Dusclops keeps the red colour scheme but its final stage, Dusknoir, turns a shade of grey/blue and yellow.

Other Details

Niantic has confirmed that there are plenty of other details to be aware of during October’s Duskull Community Day. They are as follows:

  • Free 30 Ultra Balls in the Shop and Four Free Sinnoh Stones from Research
  • Duskull Snapshot encounters
  • One time Community Day Box including 50 Ultra Balls, four Incense, four Star Pieces, and an Elite Charged TM for 1280 Coins.
  • Dusknoir that can learn Shadow Ball.
