It has been a rough and bittersweet week for Nintendo fans all over the world. Reggie Fils-Aime, the President and COO of Nintendo of America for the last 15 years, announced that he would be retiring this April and handing the job over to Doug Bowser, the current Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Fans have come out of every nook and cranny of the internet to share their admiration for him and to congratulate him on such an outstanding career. Well, it looks like the highest paid actor in Hollywood right now wanted to join in on the party as well.Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson took to

">Twitter to congratulate Reggie on an outstanding career. I am not too sure how these two have met, or even if they have met. All I know is that The Rock uses his platform to spread positivity and I am happy to see some of that is being forwarded to Reggie. You can take a look at the response on Twitter below.

To be honest, Reggie retiring hit me pretty hard. Especially after watching the video recorded to thank his fans. I have grown up a Nintendo fan my entire life and he was there since the beginning of my journey. Every time he took the stage at E3, he would capture your attention. You never knew when he had that bombshell he was going to drop just like he did during his first appearance at E3 way back in 2004. Even though he wasn't tied to the actual development of all the games I played growing up, his stage presence and the countless amount of memories he left us with always left a lasting impression on me.
