Techland has released the first teaser trailer for Dying Light 2's first major story DLC, titled 'Bloody Ties'. A full reveal will take place during Gamescom's opening night on Tuesday, August 23rd.

Alongside the release of a short trailer, the developers teased the DLC with a short description, which reads "What dangers wait for you? How can you beat them? What will you get in return? One thing is certain… it will be brutal!". Exactly what type of content is included in the DLC will likely be showcased at the full reveal next week.

However, there was a rather sizeable leak last month that showcased various 3D models, audio files, and more of what many believed to be the upcoming DLC pack. The leak in question showcased what appeared to be a gladiator-themed DLC for Dying Light 2, but it's possible that the assets discovered in the files have either been scrapped or will be used for something completely different.

An exact release date for the DLC hasn't been revealed just yet, but it is expected to be released sometime in September. Fans can check out the official website for a countdown to the reveal of Dying Light 2: Bloody Ties, where a release date for the DLC will likely be confirmed by Techland.

Gamescom's opening night is shaping up to be a big one for gamers. The opening livestream will run for approximately 2 hours, and will be filled with over 30+ games being showcased. Alongside the upcoming Dying Light 2 DLC, fans will get a further look at The Callisto Protocol, Hogwarts Legacy, Sonic Frontiers, and plenty more.

If you're eager to tune into the event and catch the reveal of Dying Light 2: Bloody Ties (as well as all of the other huge titles being showcased), you can watch along via the official Game Awards YouTube channel. The stream will begin on Tuesday, August 23rd at 11AM PT / 2PM ET / 7PM BST.
