Saving Lawan

saving Lawan in Dying Light 2

Should you decide to save Lawan, you are given 2 minutes to parkour your way to the missile silos at the top of the facility in order to stop Lawan from sacrificing herself. If you chose to save Hakon earlier in the story, then he would arrive and save Mia. Once you reach Lawan, however, Aiden begins to turn and attack her. Thankfully, Aiden is able to regain control of himself, using his newfound strength to grab Lawan and jump out of the facility. Unfortunately, neither are able to detonate the bombs attached to the missiles, which launch shortly after Lawan and Aiden make it to safety.

Much of Old Villedor is destroyed by the missiles, and many lives are lost. A cutscene then shows Spike entering the Fish Eye Canteen, where Nikolas informs him that Aiden left Villedor after the incident, unknown of his whereabouts.

Let Lawan Detonate The Bombs And Save Mia

saving Mia Dying Light 2 ending

Should you agree to let Lawan detonate the bombs, Aiden will pick up Mia and leave the facility. If you had previously chosen to save Hakon earlier on in the story, then he would arrive to save Lawan in time before the bombs detonate — thus saving Lawan and the city. If not, then Lawan will sacrifice herself to save the lives of Villedor's inhabitants.

The city will either be taken by the Survivors, Peacekeepers, or the Colonel, depending on whether you gave the VNC Tower to Frank earlier in the game. Similar to the previous ending, Spike then enters the Fish Eye Canteen and learns that Aiden left Villedor after saving Mia, who unfortunately died a few hours after leaving the X-13 facility.
