A new Dying Light 2 update is available today across all platforms, fixing a number of bugs, including the Fast Travel unavailability in The City.

Techland has just rolled out a new hotfix for Dying Light 2 with update 1.4.2. The new patch brings fixes to a number of bugs, including the Fast Travel system, occasional crashes in co-op mode, a few balance changes, and some other minor issues.

Down below, you can check out the full patch notes for Dying Light 2 update 1.4.2, available for download today across all platforms.

  • Most of the Fast Travel issues should be fixed. We are still working on improving the players’ experience while using this feature.
  • Crashes occurring in co-op while using stab follow-up skills are fixed.
  • Improved game stability and reduced the number of random crashes.
  • We are making Tyrant Volatiles stronger. A little. Sorry.
  • Special Infected received better resistance to some types of damage.
  • Special Infected with an orange marker should drop Mutation Samples.
  • Outfits from Chapter 1 will transfer to NG+; there will be no need to redeem them again.
  • Fixed a soft lock related to dying during the challenge.
  • Fixed an issue related to reconnecting to the game on PlayStation after leaving the session (manually or automatically) a couple of times.
  • Achievements „Find Anything Interesting?” and „Street Art Aficionado” can now be obtained properly.

It's worth noting that the new update will transfer Chapter 1 outfits to New Game Plus, which means you no longer need to redeem them again to receive access to the cosmetic items.

Last month, Techland released update 1.4 for Dying Light 2, delivering the first story-driven expansion of the game as well as the promised Photo Mode.

Today's patch is the second hotfix for June's major update, and it fixes most of the annoying bugs, though more hotfixes might be on the way in the near future.

Despite its launch on consoles and PC, Techland delayed the Nintendo Switch version of the game indefinitely, and unfortunately, it still doesn't have a release date. The Switch version of the game is supposed to be available through the cloud system.
