Even though Dying Light 2 is set to release in 2020, Techland is far from finished when it comes to supporting the first game. In fact, it seems as though the original game is set to soon have a major crossover with another beloved zombie-killing title very soon.Revealed via the official Dying Light Twitter account today, Techland announced that the game will soon be crossing over with Valve's Left 4 Dead 2. This comes just days after Techland seemingly teased that it would be doing something associated with L4D. Details on just what this crossover between the two franchises will look like though have yet to be given. Techland has only stated that "#left4dead2 style is coming!" in its tweet revealing the collab.

Based on what we've seen from Dying Light in the past, this crossover with Left 4 Dead 2 will likely result in a timed mode of some sort. How Left 4 Dead 2 will be integrated remains to be seen, but the most obvious idea to me is that either characters or locations from Valve's game will make their way into Dying Light. Judging from the image that Techland has released thus far, at the very least, it seems as though there will be some new melee weapons to utilize to beat back the zombie hordes.

Stay tuned in the coming days as I would expect that we'll start to hear a lot more about this Left 4 Dead 2 related event in Dying Light. If you haven't played the game already, it's available now on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
