Koei Tecmo and Sony Interactive Entertainment teased us at various points over the past two weeks with livestreams from ChinaJoy and   Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong, showing the first gameplay of Dynasty Warriors 9. Unfortunately, the video quality was pretty terrible in all of them.

Luckily, that has been fixed today with the first raw gameplay footage in 1080p resolution, and good video quality and full audio. The game is shown with its Japanese version on PS4 (while last week we saw the Chinese version).

We see many elements of the game, which looks really massive. Among the cast, we take a look at Xiahou Dun, Guan Yu and Cheng Pu. Gameplay and environment-wise the video shows a siege during the day, an infiltration in the city at night, boats on the Yangtze river and peaceful villages in the Chinese countryside.

You can enjoy it below, and if you want to see more, you can also check out the videos from last week (featuring much lower video quality, but more content), including the debut at ChinaJoy showing Guan Yuthirty minutes of gameplay showing Cheng Pu, and the grand finale with another 17 minutes showing Xiahou Dun. You can also take a look at the recent reveal of six returning heroes: Ling Tong, Gan Ning, Xu Zhu, Dian Wei, Guan Ping and Dong Zhuo.

Dynasty Warriors 9 will release this year in Japan exclusively for PS4, while an English version will launch some time down the line for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
