Today Koei Tecmo released a new batch of images of Dynasty Warriors 9, showing off four more officers in their informal clothing.

This time around we get to see Xu Zhu, Ling Tong, Liu Bei, and Xiahou Ba, in their everyday clothing. This peculiar attention to what some could see as a secondary feature is because Dynasty Warriors 9 is an open world game, which means that we’ll meet many officers when they’re not fighting, hanging out in cities and settlements, and we’ll be able to have conversation with them. This should provide an interesting and different perspective on characters that are normally seen only with a weapon in hand, on the battlefield.

You can see them all in the gallery at the bottom of the post.

On top of the images, the publisher also released some music samples available at the official website. You can listen to the main menu music “Into the Era,” to the battle music “The Awakening,” and to the siege music “Slash it; Trash All.

Dynasty Warriors 9 will launch in the west in early 2018 for PS4, Xbox One and PC, while in Japan it’ll be a PS4 exclusive.

If you want to see more about the game, you can check out a batch of new screenshots, and some really sweet gameplay. You also should not forget to check out our recent interview with Producer Akihiro Suzuki.
