Today Koei Tecmo announced the Japanese release date of its upcoming open-world Musou game Dynasty Warriors 9.

The game will launch locally on February 8th, exclusively for PS4.

On top of that, the publisher also showcased a few civilian outfits for four of the game's officers. The reason why they're making a big deal out of clothes is (besides the fact that it's Koei Tecmo, I guess) that the game is open-world, so you'll be able to meet the characters outside of battle and strike a conversation with them, by visiting cities that aren't involved in the war.

Coming as inevitable as taxes with the release date are a few retailer-exclusive costumes, which are just as inevitably dedicated mostly to the game's ladies. Hopefully Koei Tecmo will just drop them in a big bundle when the game is released in the west. You can see them in the gallery with the "sample" lettering printed on them.

Speaking of the west, the release date is valid only for Japan. The western one is still undecided, limited to a "early 2018" window. The game won't be PS4 exclusive this side of the Pacific Ocean, but it will also come to Xbox One and PC.
