Looks like the time is ripe for us to see a large amount of gameplay of the upcoming open world Musou game Dynasty Warriors 9.

Following the game's debut at ChinaJoy two days ago showcasing Guan Yu, and the thirty minutes of gameplay that we saw yesterday from the same show, giving a look at Cheng Pu in action, we get new gameplay from another show in China, and more precisely from Sony Interactive Entertainment's stage at Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong, that kicked off yesterday.

This time around, we get to see another beloved character in action, badass eyepatch Xiahou Dun.

The game was played live on stage at the show, and showcases more battle, another attack on a giant city, and a look at the river Yangtze, including a boat ride and even fishing. Can't be a Chinese general without also being a master fisherman, after all.

During the livestream, we were also presented with something definitely interesting, in the form of the reveal of three returning characters Ling Tong, Gan Ning, and Xu Zhu. You can see them at the bottom of the post.

You can check it out for yourself below (both a recording with just the gameplay, and the full video of the show), and if you want to see more, you can also enjoy six minutes of gameplay showing Guan Yu, another thirty with Cheng Pu, the latest character reveal, the first trailer, and another batch of recent screenshots, on top of one showing more of the game’s beautiful open world.

Dynasty Warriors 9 has been announced exclusively for PS4 for the Japanese, where it will launch by the end of 2017. The western arm of Koei Tecmo has confirmed that a localization in English is coming, but has remained quiet on the platforms. This could possibly mean that the title might not be a PS4 exclusive in North America and Europe, but for now this is all speculation.
