We aren’t all fans of the Call of Duty games that Treyarch has released in the past. When compared to the quality of sheer awesomeness that Infinity Ward has thrown our way this generation, we tend to brush off Treyarch developed titles like World at War, for the much more popular Modern Warfare series.
However, this time around, it seems that Treyarch might have spawned a whole lot of excitement with their upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops – a first person shooter which takes place during the Vietnam war. Those of you familiar with the franchise will definitely notice the return of the engine used in previous Call of Duty games. From what was shown, Black Ops beginss in the lush jungles of Vietnam, where you, the protagonist, are broken free from imprisonment and make your escape. After slaying a mob of Vietnam douches trying to kill you, you make your way toward a helicopter; a helicopter which you board, and blow the crap out of everything with. Stunning? Why, yes.
The game looks amazing from what was shown in the gameplay, and it’s making me itch for some old-school (in the sense of era) ass kicking. Black Ops will be released on November 9th of this year and is planned for a three year support.
