E3 2011: FIFA 12 and EA Sports Football Club Detailed

on June 6, 2011 4:15 PM

FIFA 12 is on its way and it is coming with brand new gameplay features. The game will have all-new tactical defending, including precision dribbling, a new player impact engine that took two years to develop (could mean something that is truly well thought out), dramatic falls, injuries and players that maintain momentum. For a game that is “barely past alpha,” supposedly, the game is said to be the best FIFA ever.

The folks at EA then shows off a video of various celebrities, including musicians, pro soccer athletes, and athletes in general. They talked about playing the game and how the game helps them with life. Why does this matter to us as gamers? I don’t know. Moving on.

Next, they showed off EA Sports Football Club. It is a live service that will connect players to soccer in multiple ways. It is said to be very social, connect players to compete, the ability to connect all FIFA games from all systems (consoles, mobile, Facebook), and everything done contributes to your overall progress in the realm of FIFA. The service will also allow you to take up challenges that pertain to real-world happenings in the world of soccer, and will be a living, breathing service. Hopefully we hear more news on this service soon.
