E3 2011: Tekken Hybrid Gets Trailered

on June 8, 2011 7:00 PM

Yesterday’s reveal of Tekken Hybrid left fighting game fans starved for details. Today, a trailer has been released for the software bundle, and if you’re like me at all, your pulse will be racing at full speed after watching it. It’s loaded with scenes from the CG movie included in the bundle, Tekken: Blood Vengeance and actual game play from Tekken Tag Tournament HD. We also learn that the movie and the game will be on the same Blu-ray disc and that while the movie will be playable on any Blu-ray player, you’ll need a PS3 to access TTT HD.

While the game is easily much prettier than it was when it first came out ten years ago, I don’t think it looks quite good enough to be a standout 2011 fighter. Perhaps they should have just rendered it in the Tekken 6 engine. Not as if I care at all about the graphics though, this is getting bought and played day one. Tekken Hybrid will be available exclusively on the PS3 this November. Hit the break for the trailer.
