E3 2011: Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Has a Boat Level and 3D Features

Sony just made a strong start with their press conference by showing some new gameplay from Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. The demo takes place in a sinking boat, with Drake fighting off baddies while trying to escape before the whole thing floods. Most of the tech and animations appear to be recycled from Uncharted 2, but they still look fantastic.

After the demo, they showed off a trailer (in 3D for those attending) that gave some plot details. The antagonist appears to be a woman who looks like Hellen Mirren. Like in previous games, the antagonist is competing with Drake and company to find a certain treasure. The end of the story will likely involve some weird fantastical elements.

Uncharted 3 is set to release November 1st, 2011.
