E3 2011: Uncharted for PlayStation Vita Shown

June 6, 2011

The PlayStation Vita, formerly known as NGP, was shown off for the first time with its new name with Uncharted: Golden Abyss. The on-stage demonstration of the game was done off-screen, and shown directly off of the PSVita.

The game was shown to be completely playable with the two thumbsticks and buttons, and with motion and the touchscreen. The idea behind this is to allow easy access for gamers who are used to playing Uncharted for PS3 to jump right into it. The motion and touchscreen controls was shown by tilting the system using its Sixaxis tilt capabilities, and touching the screen to do things such as grabbing enemies and jumping. The mix of these two control options mixed into one is pretty cool, because it will allow you to play the way you want. Can’t wait to see which I’m going to prefer when I get my hands on this title.
