E3 2013: Attendance Up for This Year’s E3, Next Year’s Show June 10-12, 2014

on June 13, 2013 10:06 PM

In a press release sent out today, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), announced that they saw a whopping 48,200 people flow through the doors to check out the latest the video game industry has to offer this year, which is a bit of an improvement over this time last year.

Michael Gallagher, president and CEO of the ESA proclaimed this year’s show a massive success:

This year’s E3 showcased the best that our industry has to offer and channeled the immense energy, drive, and enthusiasm for video games onto a global stage.

Anything that propels our chosen hobby (or profession) into the eyes of more people is a good thing, if you ask me. It also is apparently great for the economy of the Los Angeles area, bringing in tons of cash every year, and this year was, of course, no different.

Looking forward to next year, the expo will take place in the same location from June 10th through the 12th. Only 362 days to go!
