E3 2013: Ubisoft Announces The Crew (UPDATED)

During its conference at E3 Ubisoft just announced The Crew, an always-online persistent multiplayer racing game that will let players access most of the territory of the United States (I’m not exactly sure in what scale) and duke it out with and against other players.

To be completely honest, it looks like Need for Speed World on steroids, but the graphics look great, and the car customization system is definitely interesting. Not many details have been shared, besides the fact that collaboration with other players will be a focal point of the game.

Below you can see quite a lot of screencaps from the trailer and from the gameplay demo that were shown during the conference.
