Alongside Metroid Prime 4, things haven't seemed all too rosy for Bayonetta 3.

The title is one of the biggest games that have been announced but not released for the Nintendo Switch and has been MIA for quite some time.

E3 is very much on the horizon now though and fans are praying that the title is on the docket.

Let's take a look and see what the chances are of a Bayonetta 3 appearance at E3 2021.

Bayonetta 3 - The Story So Far

The third entry into the Bayonetta franchise was revealed at The Game Awards all the way back in 2017.

The game was later confirmed to be a Switch exclusive and fans were told that development was going "very well". However, it's not clear just how true that was, as since then, things have progressed very slowly.

Last year, Platinum Games said that Bayonetta news was coming "very soon", which unsurprisingly wasn't true leading some to question whether the game had actually been cancelled. A question which was eventually rebuffed by the studio.

What are the Chances of Seeing Bayonetta 3 at E3 2021?

Personally, I feel the chances are quite high.

The biggest hint came back in January when, in an interview with VGC, the game's developer said:

"It’s not really our position to say, but… it’s January. We’ve got to have something come out, right? I guess it’s safe to expect that something will come out. There’s still a lot of the year left is what I’m saying."

While that's far from confirmation, it would make sense that they went all out at this year's showcase after years of silence.

Platinum Games has been making all the right noises recently in terms of big game announcements and reveals and Bayonetta 3 would cap off a really interesting year for the studio.
