EA Calls Mirror's Edge "Important"

By Kenneth Richardson

February 17, 2011

The recent news that the development of the sequel to the cult-loved action title Mirror’s Edge had been stopped was very depressing news for fans of the title like myself. However, EA would like to dispel the idea that it simply doesn’t care about the low-selling game.

In a response to questioning from 1Up, a rep at EA said that ME was “An important franchise” and went on to say that they had ” Nothing further to announce”. Perhaps this is just lip service to quench the flames of fan outrage but on the other hand, maybe the game really is important to them.

If it’s the latter, then we’re bound to see another game sometime in the future. If you’ve never played Mirror’s Edge, find out why you should here.
