During EA's latest earnings call, the publisher confirmed that they'll release 14 games during their fiscal 2021 year, including new Battlefield and Madden games. "Looking forward to fiscal 2021, our goal is to continue to grow net bookings and underlying profitability, even as we invest in the new platforms," says Blake Jorgensen, EA's COO and CFO. "We anticipate live services to be the primary growth driver, followed by the launch of new content across a broad range of genres. We’ll launch four sports titles, including new games in our blockbuster FIFA and Madden franchises, four other titles that draw from the breadth of our IP, and we’ll also publish four more titles globally from smaller developers. Finally, we expect two new mobile titles to make it into soft launch." In addition to this news, Jorgensen says they expect more growth during their fiscal 2022 with the launches of the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. Additionally, he confirms they'll launch a new Battlefield game, Madden 22, and FIFA 22 alongside other serivces and titles around the next-generation console launches. "We create long-term value by growing strong live services, launching new content, and expanding our reach" continues Jorgensen. "This broad-based model reduces our dependence on individual titles, decreases risk, and enables us to deliver financial results for our shareholders through a constant stream of high-quality entertainment for our players." Also during the earnings call, Jorgensen and CEO Andrew Wilson confirmed that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sold over eight million copies since its launch in November. The Sims 4 also had good news, with the game surpassing 20 million players since it released five years ago. Additionally, Season Three of Apex Legends was bigger than Season Two, bringing in more players than ever before. What titles do you think EA will release during the fiscal 2021 year?
