EA Gives Away Free Games To Celebrate Origin's One-Year Anniversary

To celebrate the first anniversary of its Origin gaming digital distribution service, Electronic Arts is giving away full-version copies of one of three PC games. Origin account holders will be receiving e-mails with user-specific instructions and a one-time-use promo code to reduce the price of one game. The chosen free game must be downloaded directly through the Origin client, as they will not be open for download from EA’s website.

Members can choose between Dragon Age: Origins,  along with Shale premium DLC and Blood Dragon Armor DLC, Battlefield 2: Bad Company, and Spore. Digital distribution manages to open up all new types of customer appreciation that doesn’t exist with physical copies, and it’s interesting to see how EA is capitalizing on it. Either way, free is my favorite price.
