EA Officially Announces and Details Syndicate Reboot

Today EA officially announced the reboot of the classic Syndicate, that has been in development for two years at Starbreeze Studios (that made The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena and The Darkness).

The game will not be a strategic like the original but a first person shooter. Apparently someone at EA thought that there aren’t enough FPS in the market.

Disappointment for the genre aside, details shared include the identity of the main character, Eurocorp’s newest prototype cyborg Miles Kilo, and the ability to slow down time and use hacking to effectively kill enemies, given that everyone is digitally connected.

The game will also have a four-players cooperative mode that will feature missions remade from the original classic. You can see a gallery of screenshots past the cut.

He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
