Here's Everything That Was Announced at EA Play 2019
From Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, FIFA, Madden, Apex Legends and more, EA Play gave us plenty of deep dives into upcoming titles this year.
With E3 2019 having officially kicked off this weekend, it all started with EA Play and highlighting EA’s lineup of games coming later this year.
Over the course of EA’s several hours of livestreams, we got deeper looks into titles like the long-awaited Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the latest iterations of Madden and FIFA, a look at the second season of content for Apex Legends, and more.

EA kicked off their show with the highly-anticipated first look at Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order‘s gameplay. In the 15-minute demo, we got a deeper look into the combat, exploration, storytelling, and other gameplay systems that will be present in the upcoming single-player Star Wars game, which will officially release in November.
Ever since it became a wild success at the beginning of the year, Apex Legends players have been hungry for more information on what’s coming next for the popular free-to-play shooter. EA delivered that and more, as it was revealed that Season 2 will begin in July and feature a brand new hero named Wattson.
Since the game’s debut in the fall of last year, Battlefield V has gradually been getting updates with new content, features, modes, maps, and more. EA Play didn’t disappoint by showing us more of what’s in the pipeline for Battlefield V, such as a look at the upcoming Chapter 5 of the game’s War Stories, which will be set in the Pacific front. It was also announced that Battlefield V will be coming to EA Access and Origin Access’ Vault of games for subscribers starting today.
Football/soccer fans had a lot to look forward to at EA Play with the full reveal of FIFA 20, which is set to introduce a number of new gameplay systems and features to the iconic sports franchise, including the pseudo-return of FIFA Street in a new gameplay mode called Volta Football.
Not to upstaged by FIFA, the other football game, Madden 20, also got its chance to shine with plenty of new trailers and features shown off at EA Play 2019. Among the highlights of the new Madden trailers included a look at new improvements and features to the Campaign Mode, Superstar Abilities, and the new “Face of the Franchise” campaign.
It seems like The Sims 4 really wants us all to take a vacation, as the next upcoming expansion for the ever-popular simulation was revealed as Island Living. A gameplay trailer shown at EA Play 2019 detailed the new environments, systems, and customization options that players will have while being in the middle of a tropical paradise. In addition to the Island Living expansion, it was also teased that the next game pack will be called “Realm of Magic” coming this fall, alongside new fashion items and outfits coming to the game later this summer.
