EA Shuts Down Mythic Entertainment

May 29, 2014

RPG gaming studio, Mythic Entertainment, has been formally shutdown by EA today. In a statement made to Kotaku, EA has said:

“We are closing the EA Mythic location in Fairfax, Virginia, as we concentrate mobile development in our other studio locations. We are working with all impacted employees to provide assistance in finding new opportunities, either within EA or with other companies via an upcoming job fair.”

Formally known as BioWare Mythic, the developer created Dark Age of Camelot and Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. As we know so far, BioWare has been left unaffected by the closure.

BioWare’s latest game, Dragon Age: Inquisition, will be out this fall.
