EA Shutting Down Servers for Some Older Games

EA has announced that they are shutting down server support for a number of older games as they tend to do every once in awhile. The main reason for this is dwindling player interest in the titles and they claim less than 1% of their customers will be affected. You’ve still got a little bit of time for these so if you want to get any of your trophies or achievements that require online play you better organize something quick.

Check out the list of servers that will be taken down on April 13, 2012 after the break.

  • BOOM BLOX Bash Party for Wii
  • Burnout Revenge for Xbox 360
  • EA Create for PC, PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360
  • EA Sports Active 2.0 for PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360
  • EA Sports Active NFL Training Camp for Wii
  • FIFA 10 for PlayStation Portable and Wii
  • The Godfather II for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360

  • Need for Speed ProStreet for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360

John is what you might call something of a badass. When he's not writing about games or playing them, he's playing in the Kansas City band "Documentary" and drinking as many different beers as often as he can. He's a huge comic nerd in the best sense of the term, with a particular love for the Creator Owned movement.
