PS4 Exclusive Earth Defense Force Iron Rain Announced with Trailer and Screenshots

PS4-exclusive Earth Defense Force Iron Rain will be coming sometime in 2018 for Japanese fans; check out the brand new reveal trailer.

With a brand new trailer and release date for Earth Defense Force 5 revealed at Tokyo Game Show, many believed that was all they would see out of the series at PlayStation’s 2017 Press Conference. Lo and behold, one of the final trailers revealed in the show was a new one revealing Earth Defense Force Iron Rain.

The trailer, seen below, shows off brand new bug-killing mayhem, giant mechs, and some high-class artillery to match. Even better, Earth Defense Force Iron Rain will be making its way to PS4 in 2018.

The trailer boasts a few big-name credits, for instance creature design by Ryu Oyama and a theme tune from Resident Evil series composer, Takashi Niigaki. Outside of this, little is know about the game other than the fact you will be smearing gigantic bugs across city environments.

As mentioned above, Earth Defense Force Iron Rain will be coming exclusively to PS4 sometime in 2018 — there is currently no indication if or when it may be coming to the West. Check out the reveal trailer and screenshots below:
