If you have been unsure as to whether or not you'd like to back Boogerman 20th Annuversary: The Video Game on Kickstarter, then the developers at Toy Ghost LLC have added a pretty enticing tier to encourage you. Earthworm Jim has been revealed as a playable character in a new co-operative mode announced for the game.

At the new $40 tier, backers will unlock the ability to play as Earthworm Jim in co-op, in addition to Annelid, exclusive levels, a t-shirt featuring the two characters, the digital soundtrack, forum access, digital art book, a spot in the credits, and a digital copy of the game, of course. Those who have already backed the game with over $41 will be granted all of these rewards retroactively.

Furthermore, the developers confirmed that the co-operative mode will be compatible with cross-controller play between the PS Vita and PS4, as well as the Wii U's second-screen experience. The co-operative mode is currently offline-only, though an online version could be added in a later stretch goal.

Earthworm Jim has not seen light since Earthworm Jim HD, which was released in 2010. Earthworm Jim 4 was announced in 2008 and has been in development hell since.

Boogerman 20th Anniversary: The Video Game is being developed by Toy Ghost LLC for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, PC, Mac, Linux, and PS Vita.
