EA and Starbreeze Studios have already announced that their upcoming first-person shooter, Syndicate, will get a demo on XBox Live and the PlayStation Network. However, we now know the date. Each console will get the demo on January 31st, though European PlayStation 3 owners will have to wait for February 1st.

In case you haven't already heard, the demo is not just co-op, but in a neat twist, four player co-op. Joystiq reports that the Co-Op demo will cover one of the nine co-op missions, where the players must steal blueprints from a rival corporation and assassinate one of its employees.

I'm glad Syndicate is getting a demo, as it seems like one of those games that might fall under the radar due to the awesome mix of AAA titles in February. The announced co-op missions seem like a huge feature to look forward to, as too few games include a good co-op mode these days. Starbreeze has an excellent track record, and the addition of co-op really strengthens the package. I'll be looking forward to the demo in order to see if Starbreeze can keep up the excellent quality they're known for.

Syndicate is set to be released on February 21st of this year.
