Easter Eggs Abound in "Nuketown" Map in Black Ops

By Allen Park

Over the weekend Activision PR dude Dan Amrich posted on his site some very cool little secrets to be found in the “Nuketown” multiplayer map in Call of Duty: Black Ops.  Some highlights include a totally rad double rainbow in the distance, a clock tower that displays the time left on the map, and a town billboard with a population that tells you the number of live players on the map.

Even though I think Nuketown is the worst multiplayer map in the game by far and embodies everything wrong with typical Call of Duty-style multiplayer, it’s neat of Treyarch to pull out all the stops and give the fans some nice little Easter eggs to discover.

Call of Duty: Black Ops is available now on the PC, XBOX 360, and PS3.

His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
