Eevee Pokémon Tamagotchi Officially Announced for Japan with a Janurary 2019 Release Date

Eevee Pokémon Tamagotchi has been officially announced with a release date of January 26th in Japan and is available in brown and pink versions

If you remember the 90’s when the Tamagotchi was a big deal, then I can almost guarantee how annoyed you were by it. Personally, mine ended up smashed against my bedroom wall. Moving onto today however and the rumors that a Pokémon Tamagotchi was in the pipeline has turned out to be true according to the Serebii website with Pokemon and Tamagotchi teaming up at last.

The Eevee Tamagotchi will let you raise and care for an Eevee as it evolves into one of its eight evolutions including some variations where we see a Team Rocket Eevee and a Ditto Eevee, while the Tamagotchi shells are available in brown and a pink “Colorful Friends” version.

Your new little virtual pet Eevee will need to be looked after in the best possible way (not smashed against the wall, please) like feeding, playing etc and can even express itself with emotions. Although, If I remember from my school days, it will beep and try your patience as it looks for your attention.

At present, it will only be available in Japan when it releases there on January 26th, but I would think it wouldn’t be too long before folks in the rest of the world can get their hands on it too. The price in Yen is slated to be 2,300, which is about $20.

Would you pick up an Eevee Tamagotchi when it releases outside of Japan?
