Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer has been rebranded for the 2020 season as eFootball PES. The name may have changed, but the attention to detail that PES players know and love is still there. The team has been hopping on to various E3 panels today to show the game off with a first-look trailer. Check it out below.

The trailer is very focused on Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi and his use of the new Finesse Dribble gameplay feature. This was developed with consultation with Andres Iniesta, a world-class midfielder. It lets you use both analog sticks to pull off some truly remarkable feats of dribbling skill. Plus, you can use your own spatial awareness to transition into passes that will outfox your competition and set your teammates up for success. Konami also promises better ball physics, new skills/abilities inspired by Ronaldinho, better player interactions, and a whole host of other gameplay improvements.

eFootball PES 2020 will feature a new Master League mode. This mode puts you in the manager's seat and lets you build your club as you see fit. The team is promising a new interactive dialogue system, more realistic transfers, and customizable sponsor logos. You can also become one of several famed managers as your avatar. Pick from Zico, Cruyff, or Maradona and try to recreate their amazing successes.

It's cool to see PES going so far to their manager mode. It's been a place that FIFA has neglected over the last few iterations, so it's smart for PES to target that. It should make it the place to go for players who prefer managing a team over a career to playing Ultimate Team.

eFootball PES 2020 is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on September 10. Stay with Dualshockers for all the E3 news.
