For those who have been excitedly waiting for the Lego Super Mario Sets to arrive, this is some great news for you. In just a few short months, you will finally be able to get your hands on the Super Mario line this coming August 1 in Europe and North America.  This news comes after Lego and Nintendo’s announcement in March that the companies would come together and work on interactive Super Mario Lego playsets.

The Lego Super Mario Set will include the Mario Starter Course which will come in at $59.99 and will include the interactive, Bluetooth-enabled Mario figure, the Piranha Plant Power Slide Expansion Set priced at $29.99, and the Bowser's Castle Boss Battle Expansion Set at $99.99. As well as smartphone connectivity, the figure also comes with LCD displays on Mario’s eyes, mouth, and stomach to display a wide variety of instant reactions to movement, color and action bricks. Also included is a speaker that plays iconic sounds and music from the video game series. To add to it all, you'll also be able to keep track of your creations, high scores, and virtual coins by using the free smartphone app that will accompany the set on release.

You can also add to the Super Mario craze by celebrating in Super Mario 35th Anniversary by purchasing merchandise like kid's t-shirts and shorts with clothing company Uniqlo.
