There are so many weapons, talismans, armor sets, and other goodies in Elden Ring that it would take a lifetime to explore all the possible combinations. Because of this, it is often overwhelming for players to try to figure out the best builds for maximum efficiency.

Faith, one of the two magic systems in Elden Ring, suffers from this "problem." There are several ways to build a Faith-based character. Many people enjoy the task of finding the most overpowered synergies they can, but those who don't, fear not! This guide will go over the best possible builds for all of your pyromaniac needs.

Best Classes For Faith Builds

The clear winner here is the Prophet, with the highest starting Faith level in the game. That's not to say, though, that other classes aren't just as viable. In fact, for a few of these builds, it is even beneficial to have a class with a different strong suit.

The only other class with a decent starting Faith level is none other than the Confessor.

The Blasphemous Blade Build

elden-ring-faith-classes (1)
  • Weapons: Blasphemous Blade, Any Sacred Seal
  • Ashes of War: Taker's Flames (Base)
  • Talismans: Fire Scorpion Charm, Shard Of Alexander
  • Incantations: Flame Grant Me Strength, Golden Vow

The first thing to note about this build is that it is going to require some seriously high stats. This is due to two things. First, because the Blasphemous Blade is a Greatsword, it demands great strength from the players. In turn, the player must also have enough endurance to actually move around while wielding such a beast.

Secondly, most of the items in the build are fairly difficult to obtain. However, do not let this prevent you from using this setup, as this is one of the single most powerful builds in all of Elden Ring.

There is some leniency on which items are actually required for the build, except the blade itself and the listed incantations. Keep in mind that the Shard Of Alexander is only important if the player is also using the Taker's Flame, as it directly buffs said Ash of War.

The Ash of War is going to be a real star of this setup as it possesses a "leech" effect, healing the user as it damages an enemy. Although the sword does phenomenal damage on its own, using the incantation 'Flame Grant Me Strength' along with the listed talismans will provide an enormous buff.

The Scythe Of Faith

  • Weapon: Winged Scythe, Godslayer's Seal
  • Armor: Ruler's Mask, Mausoleum Knight Set
  • Talismans: Up to player
  • Incantations: Black Flame, Black Flame Blade

The Scythe Of Faith build uses what is already one of the most overpowered effects (bleed) in the game and combines it with holy damage. Pair that up with the massive area of effect from the scythe, and you have a recipe for destruction.

The Black Flame itself is a more deadly version of the classic Flame Sling spell, while the Black Flame Blade will imbue the scythe with an HP-draining curse. While its effects wear off relatively quickly, the cast time on the incantation is amazingly short.

The Ruler's Mask and Mausoleum Armor pieces are not required for this build, but they do pair remarkably well! Also, keep in mind that the Godslayer's seal is the objective best seal for this setup, as it directly buffs any Black Flame spells.

One-Shot Lightning

  • Weapons: Katana, any sacred seal
  • Armor: Any Light or Medium armor
  • Talismans: Two Fingers Heirloom, Carian Filigreed Crest
  • Incantations: Flame of Frenzy, Lightning Strike, Lightning Spear, Electrify Armament

As the name suggests, this build will effectively one-shot most enemies in the early game. Likewise, it can down even the toughest of bosses in just a few hits! It is going to require a bit more work than the previous two, but the reward is well worth the work.

The Katana is actually the least important aspect of this build, although it is a fantastic suggestion. Similarly, there are no required armor pieces, as the real stars of the show here are the incantations.

Flame of Frenzy is an AOE attack that increases in power the longer it is charged up, while Lightning Spear, on the other hand, is a much more accurate incantation. If it isn't Lightning Spear, Lightning Strike may be the most powerful incantation listed here, with an absolutely insane AOE damage and a rapid cast rate. Meanwhile, Electrify Armament does exactly what it sounds like and will make your Katana much more deadly.

Both Talismans will allow you to cast spells more rapidly in far less time, and likewise, both should be equipped. On a final note, be sure to utilize the base Ash of War for the Katana after using electrified armament for massive damage.
