A number of players have reported that they are not able to play online as whenever they are creating a summon sign, they are getting the "Failed to create summon sign" error. This is different from the error one usually sees in Elden Ring. If you have tried online play before, you must have seen the error which states that the game is unable to summon cooperator. However this issue seems to be new, and players are wondering why it is occurring.

Elden Ring Failed To Create Summon Sign Error Explained

Well, this seems to be an issue in Bandai Namco's servers as a large number of players are facing this issue. A number of users have resorted to Elden Ring subreddit to express their concerns over the problem, but as of now, there doesn't seem to be a fix for the same. Most players reporting the issue have been playing on PC, so it seems like this issue might be occurring only to PC players.

It should be noted that this is different from the error that players previously faced in Elden Ring, which states unable to summon an operator. In that error, the cooperator was unable to be summoned because they might have connected to a different game at the same time. Here, the cooperator is not being summoned in the first place, which is a direct result of an issue in the game's server.

It is not known how much time it will take to resolve the issue. Many players have reported the issue to Bandai Namco, so we can expect a resolution very soon. Considering that it is a server issue, it should resolve on its own and we will not likely get a patch for Elden Ring.
