Elden Ring is home to many fantastical landscapes, regions, and landmarks, all of which are quite diverse. While many areas are quite simple to reach, others require you to complete certain tasks to gain entry to them. This is the case with Moonlight Altar, a mysterious location that you gain access to by progressing through Ranni's quest line. This is also the case for the Leyndell Royal Capital, a region that contains many treasures and bosses.
Leyndell, Royal Capital is a Legacy Dungeon and is a massive labyrinth-like city filled with many treasures, but it is also home to challenging bosses like Godfrey, Mohg, the Omen, and Esgar. But, reaching this area is not as simple as many may think, for you will need to complete a series of tasks beforehand. Here is how to get to Leyndell, Royal Capital in Elden Ring.

Get To Leyndell Royal Capital In Elden Ring
Before getting into Leyndell, you will need to have two Great Runes. You can achieve them by killing Godrick at Stormveil Castle and Rennala at the Academy of Raya Lucaria. Also, you need to activate the Great Rune of Godrick. In order to do so, you should head to one end of Limgrave Tower Bridge from the Stormveil Castle and then use the portal to reach the Divine Tower of Limgrave, at the top of which you can activate the Great Rune.
Now, it's time to head to Leyndell, Royal Capital. This city has one big entrance, but the doors of this entrance are closed at the beginning before entering the capital. So, you will need to take a back door entrance, and it can't be done until you kill the Draconic Tree Sentinel at the location marked below.
There is a door just behind this boss, which is blocked with magic. Defeating this boss with allow the door to open, granting you access to Leyndell.
