Elden Ring players will need to learn how to get and summon a horse as it's pretty important for traveling faster across the game's world.

Unlike any other games developed by FromSoftware, Elden Ring features a massive universe and a large-scale map that leaves you free to explore in the way you want without limiting your options to two or three paths.

Although fast traveling using Bonfires is still a thing in Elden Ring, players will surely need a horse to traverse the long distances between various locations if they decide to discover the mysteries of Elden Ring rather than just jumping from location A to B.

Elden Ring: How to Summon a Horse

If you have already met Maiden Melina and received a ring called "Spectral Steed Whistle," then all you need to do is to put that ring either in your Pouch or Inventory. If it's in your Pouch, press Triangle or Y to summon the horse. If it's in your Inventory, you can summon it using your D-Pad.

Now, if you don't know how to get the ring, here is your guide: Players must activate three Sites of Grace to be eligible to receive the ring that allows them to summon a horse.

Sites of Grace are rest-points similar to Bonfires of Dark Souls. You will see them in your explorations with a floating yellow effect. The third time that you activate a Site of Grace, you will encounter Maiden Melina in a cutscene, who will give you the aforementioned ring.

Elden Ring is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The game is priced at $59.99 across all platforms.
