After discovering the Four Belfries in Liurnia of the Lakes, you’ll need three Imbued Sword Keys in order to access the teleporters. These teleporters will take you to otherwise inaccessibly locations across the world, each offering a unique item (or several unique items) that can aid you in your journey through Elden Ring.

Imbued Sword Keys operate the same as Stonesword Keys—they are single use. This guide will detail where to find each of the three Imbued Sword Keys, as well as what you can expect when traveling through each of the teleporters at the Four Belfries location.

How To Reach The Four Belfries

the four belfries elden ring map

The Four Belfries are located along the western edge of Liurnia of the Lakes, just northwest of Raya Lucaria Academy. To Reach the Four Belfries, head north from the Village of the Albinaurics, past the Converted Tower, east of the minor Erdtree, and past Revenger’s Shack. Follow this road until you reach the Foot of the Four Belfries site of grace. From here, take the right fork and head up the mountain, avoiding jellyfish and giant spirits along the slopes. You’ll eventually reach the safety of The Four Belfries. Continue riding up the slope until you reach the top-most belfry—you can rest at the Four Belfries site of grace at the top of the mountain.

First Imbued Sword Key

The first Imbued Sword Key can actually be found at the Four Belfries. While the first three belfries contain inactive teleporters, the fourth at the top of the hill instead has a chest. Open the chest to acquire the first of three Imbued Sword Keys.

Second Imbued Sword Key

The second Imbued Sword Key can be found within Raya Lucaria Academy, though it’s well off the beaten path.

  • From the Debate Parlor site of grace, after defeating the Red Wolf of Radagon boss, head out into the courtyard.
  • Along the left side, you’ll find a crumbled staircase with some enemies digging in the rubble.
  • Run up the staircase to the next landing, then continue up the small staircase after that.
  • Deal with the two sorcerers on that landing, then turn around.

  • You’ll want to leap over the railing on the far side, down to the staircase below.
  • You’ll encounter another sorcerer on these stairs, and one patrolling at the top of the stairs.
  • Before straying too far, run down this staircase and unlock the door below—this will allow faster access to this route should you suffer an untimely death.
  • From here, the path is more or less straightforward, though it’ll involve some rooftop parkour.

  • Head along the railing until it ends.
  • You’ll grab a Golden Rune [3] from a corpse hanging over the railing.
  • From here, leap over the railing onto the rooftops below and continue southward along the rooftops.
  • Dispatch the two Marionette Soldiers ahead. After defeating the second one, look westward; you should see a ladder going up.
  • You’ll find a corpse with a Golden Rune [4] around the corner.
  • Otherwise, get climbing.

At the top of the ladder, you’ll find yourself at one end of a bridge littered with statues and cages. At the far end, you’ll spot a patrolling sorcerer. Two Avionette Soldiers are perched nearby as well, so be prepared for a quick and hectic battle.

At the far side of the bridge, head around the ledge. You’ll find Meteor Bolts directly behind the tower. From the northwestern corner of the tower, drop down to the rooftop below.

From here, you’ll drop down a series of rooftops until you see a rooftop path running to the west beneath an archway. Along this rooftop path, you’ll spot two Marionette Soldiers—one below you to the right, and one patrolling along the path. Defeat them.

From the northern side, where one Marionette Soldier waited, peer down and to the right to find your path forward. You should spot an item ahead. Drop down, run along the path, and loot the Imbued Sword Key.

Third Imbued Sword Key

The third Imbued Sword Key can be found in Caelid—specifically in Sellia, Town of Sorcery located along the eastern edge of the Swamp of Aeonia. The town is sealed by an enchantment, which will prevent you from acquiring the Imbued Sword Key hidden within. To break the enchantment, you’ll need to light three candle towers located around the town. After unlocking the magical seals around town, the Imbued Sword Key can be found along the eastern side of town. For a more in-depth walkthrough of how to unlock the seals in town and to learn what items Sellia contains, check out this Sellia Town of Sorcery Guide.

Return to the Four Belfries

Now that you’ve acquired all three Imbued Sword Keys, it’s time to return to The Four Belfries and venture through the teleporters located throughout town. Each location you teleport to offers you at least one unique item, and one offers an important quest item, so you want to make sure you explore each thoroughly.

Belfry Tower One: Crumbling Farum Azula

The first belfry from the bottom of the hill will teleport you to a segmented section of Crumbling Farum Azula, an area of the game you won’t further explore until much later in the game. Belfry Tower One only contains a single Talisman for you to acquire, but you’ll have to battle with two Azula Beastmen to get it. Drop down the shattered landings until you reach the larger piece occupied by the two Azula Beastmen. These two can put up quite the fight. The throwing one, lingering up by the columns, is a bit weaker, so target him first.

If you’d rather skip this fight, run to the north side of this platform and jump to the next platform below. On this lowest platform, you will find the Pearldrake Talisman. You’ll be able to find a much more powerful version later in the game.

Belfry Tower Two: Precipice of Anticipation

The second belfry tower is located further up the path, identified by the “Precipice of Anticipation” message on the ground before the teleporter. This teleporter will take you back to the Chapel of Anticipation, which will look somewhat familiar. That’s because this is where the game began. If you didn’t defeat the Grafted Scion initially, you’re in for a boss fight. Defeating this boss will earn you the Ornamental Straight Sword and Golden Beast Crest Shield.

After defeating this boss, head further up the hill. Instead of entering the building wherein you first spawned at the start of the game, head around the right side of the building and head up the stairs. On this landing, you will find The Stormhawk King, an important key item for continuing Nepheli Loux’s Questline. From this landing, head through the nearby doorway into the building. Along this railing, you’ll spot a chest. Loot the chest to gain the Stormhawk Deenh Spirit Ash, a powerful Spirit Ash worth trying out if you still haven’t found one you’re vibing with.

Belfry Tower Three: Nokron, Eternal City

The third belfry tower is located slightly further up the path. It’s the final tower you haven’t used with the message: “Night Sky Unceasing.” Activate this teleporter with the final Imbued Sword Key, and take the teleporter to a segment of Nokron, Eternal City. You might have already encountered this area previously from the Siofra River Well in Mistwood, but if not, you’re in for a visual treat. Make your way down the craggy slopes until you reach the landing below. Be careful with your footing: a fall from some of these heights will be fatal.

Follow this path, and you will eventually come across the Mottled Necklace Talisman. You can also battle a Crucible Knight standing at the far end of the broken bridge, but he only drops 3,080 Runes upon defeat; no loot otherwise.
