Where To Find Millicent?

Before embarking on Millicent’s quest, start by locating Sage Gowry in central Caelid, south of the Sellia Under-Stair site of grace. Sage Gowry can be found within a shack, which gets marked as a landmark on your map once discovered.

Upon entering the shack, speak to Gowry, who will task you with retrieving the Unalloyed Gold Needle from the swamp of Aoenia. Acquiring the needle entails defeating the field boss, Commander O'Niel.

Defeat Commander O’Neil

The Unalloyed Gold Needle is a quest item that you'll need to retrieve by defeating Commander O'Niel, who can be found near the Inner Aeonia site of grace, southwest of Sellia Under-Stairs.

• Commander O'Niel is a challenging boss as he also summons multiple enemies that use ranged attacks, making your life hard.
• It's recommended to stay on Torrent and use a strong spirit summon to distract O'Neil. Also avoid scarlet rot buildup by staying away from O'Neil's AOE attacks.
• nce you have defeated Commander O'Neil, you'll receive the Commander's Staff weapon and the Unalloyed Gold Needle.

Give Unalloyed Needle To Gowry

Return to Gowry and give him the Unalloyed Gold Needle. Gowry will, in return, give you the Sellia's Secret, which can be used to open the Sellia gate seal.

• This secret allows you to break the sealed gate in the Sellia town, which requires finding three towers in Sellia and lighting their beacons.
• With that done, rest at a site of grace and return to Gowry to receive the repaired version of the Unalloyed Gold Needle.
• Speak to Gowry until he asks you to find Millicent and give her the needle.

The path now allows you to easily reach Millicent at the Church of the Plague. However, if you're feeling adventurous enough, there's also an alternate route that takes you to the Church of the Plague without needing to activate the beacons.

Find Millicent At The Church Of The Plague

The Church of the Plague is to the northeast of Gowry's Shack and can be easily accessed by following the path that was revealed after breaking the seal of Sellia.

• Millicent can be found sitting inside the church, and you can talk to her and give her the Unalloyed Gold Needle.
• Now, reload the game by sitting at a site of grace, and you should see Millicent back on her feet.
• Speak to her and exhaust all dialogues to receive the Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom, which raises your dexterity attribute by +5.
• Resting at a site of grace, Millicent will now move to her next location: Gowry's Shack.
• Make your way there and speak through all of Millicent's dialogues. Reloading the game will cause Gowry to return to his shack, and Millicent will move on to her next quest location.
• You can now interact with Gowry and purchase items from his inventory.

Find Valkyrie’s Prosthesis At Shaded Castle On Altus Plateau

To continue Millicent's quest, you'll need to progress quite a bit through the game and reach Altus Plateau.

• Begin by traveling north of the Grand Lift of Dectus to find the Shaded Castle.
• It's advised to explore the castle thoroughly for useful items like perfume bottles, cookbooks, and paintings.
• Explore the western region of the castle to collect the Valkyrie's Prosthesis quest item from a treasure chest, which should now allow you to progress Millicent's quest.
• Additionally, you can consider defeating the field boss, Elemer of the Briar while you're still at the Shaded Castle.

Find Millicent At The Erdtree-Gazing Hill Site Of Grace

With the Valkyrie's Prosthesis acquired, travel back to the Grand Lift of Dectus and then discover the Erdtree-Gazing Hill site of grace, which is located a short distance to the north of the Grand Lift of Dectus.

Millicent can be found a short distance to the northeast of the Erdtree-Gazing Hill site of grace. Give her the Valkyrie's Prosthesis and speak through all of her dialogues before moving on.

Find Millicent At The Windmill Village

Now, you must travel northeast of Altus Plateau and discover the Windmill Village site of grace.

• Head further northeast through the village to confront a Godskin Apostle. Defeating the Godskin Apostle unlocks a site of grace called Windmill Heights.
• Rest at the site of grace to reload the game, and you should now find Millicent nearby with the Valkyrie's Prosthesis attached to her arm.
• Speak through all of her dialogues and rest at the site of grace before moving on to the Mountaintops of the Giants.

Reach Moutaintops Of The Giants

Reaching the Mountaintops of the Giants is a task in itself, which requires you to obtain the Rold Medallion. Begin by challenging and defeating Morgott, the Omen King at the Elden Throne in Leyndell, and you can summon Melina to assist you in this battle.

Once Morgott has fallen, Melina will give you the Rold Medallion, which can be used to activate the Grand Lift of Rold, and thereby reach the Mountaintops of the Giants.

Find Millicent At Ancient Snow Valley Ruins

After reaching the Mountaintops of the Giants, travel north to discover the Ancient Snow Valley Ruins site of grace where Millicent can be found waiting.

• Speak through all of her dialogues and rest at the site of grace to reload the game.
• Millicent will have now moved on from the Mountaintops of the Giants and can be found at Miquella's Haligtree.
• Reaching the Haligtre is a lengthy process and involves collecting two pieces of the secret medallion and solving a puzzle at Ordina's Liturgical Town, which then opens the portal to Miquella's Haligtree. You can refer to our dedicated guide to find both pieces of the Secret Medallion.

Find Millicent At Miquella's Haligtree

Miquella's Haligtree is a vast location with many secrets and confusing paths. It's advised to take your time and explore this region, eventually discovering the Drainage Channel site of grace.

• You can also speak to Millicent at the Prayer Room site of grace for additional dialogue.
• From the Drainage Channel site of grace, head west and carefully move through some tree branches to reach a pit full of scarlet rot.
• Stepping into the pit will spawn an Ulcerated Tree Spirit, and defeating it will reward you with a Golden Seed.

Choose To Aid Or Challenge Millicent

With the Ulcerated Tree Spirit defeated, look for two summoning signs (red and gold) to the west of the scarlet rot pit.

• Interact with the gold summoning sign to assist Millicent in defeating the Sisters of Rot, which rewards you with the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia talisman.
• Find a fallen Millicent nearby and speak through all of her dialogues before reloading the game by sitting at a site of grace. You'll find that Millicent has died, leaving behind the Unalloyed Gold Needle and a Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.
• Alternatively, if you decide to betray Millicent, interact with the red summon sign to invade Millicent's world and defeat her with the help of the Sisters of Rot.
• Doing so will prevent you from acquiring the Unalloyed Gold Needle, Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone, and the Rotten Winged Insignia talisman. Instead, you'll receive Millicent's Prosthesis talisman, which boosts Dexterity and successive attack damage.

What To Do With The Unalloyed Gold Needle

Even though Millicent is dead, the objective of the Unalloyed Gold Needle isn't complete yet. You'll only find use in the Unalloyed Gold Needle if you inherit the Flame of Frenzy by choosing to audience with the Three Fingers.

If you wish to dispel the effect of the Flame of Frenzy after inheriting it, you'll need to first defeat Malenia, the Blade of Miquella. Once Malenia is defeated, she will leave behind a large flower. Interact with the flower to return the Unalloyed Gold Needle and receive Miquella's Needle in return.

Miquella's Needle can only be used in the Crumbling Farum Azula at Dragonlord Placidusax's arena to remove the effects of the Flame of Frenzy.

Finally, you can also visit Gowry's shack to find him either in a state of despair or dead, based on whether you chose to aid or betray Millicent. If Gowry has died, you'll find his Bell Bearing and Flock's Canvas talisman. On the other hand, if Gowry is alive, you can choose to either kill him and collect the Bell Bearing and talisman, or leave him alive if you think the developers may plan something for him in the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
