In a feat that is as wild as it sounds, one dedicated Elden Ring player defeated the game’s final bosses using a DDR dance pad.

Undoubtedly, gaming communities are home to incredibly creative minds and dedicated souls. From artists to cosplayers, speedrunners to modders, communities have changed the way video games can be played.

Most notably, players have long crafted unique controllers for either increased accessibility or additional challenge. From Morse code controllers to banana controllers (yes, actual literal bananas), these unique machines have led to some hilariously impressive runs. Now, FromSoftware's Elden Ring is receiving the same treatment - only this time, players have resorted to using one particularly surprising controller.

In an almost unbelievable video posted to the r/EldenRing subreddit, u/Ugoroszczak defeated Elden Ring's final bosses using, somehow, an old Dance Dance Revolution dance pad.

YES, ELDEN RING REALLY IS BEATABLE ON A DANCE PAD

At this point, most FromSoftware fans are aware of the studio's tendency toward designing difficult bosses. Field enemies, dungeon enemies, and final bosses all present enormous obstacles to their players to create an experience that truly challenges them. However, some players like to take the challenge to the next level - and that is exactly what u/Ugoroszczak did.

Using a Dance Dance Revolution dance pad, u/Ugoroszczak took on Elden Ring and managed to complete the game in an Any% run. Armed with only a Bloodhound's Fang sword, he defeated boss after boss. Eventually, he found himself locked in combat with Radagon, focusing on both the bosses movements and his own dance pad controls. Watch a clip below:

Overall, this particular fight alone took 5 hours to clear. Ugoroszczak additionally mentioned that he completed most of his run without using summons, ashes, or other buffs. While some enemies like the Godskin Duo required summons, his run is one of the most hardcore out there.

Additionally, u/Ugoroszczak stated that the biggest challenge was actually camera control. Controlling player perspective using dance pad buttons is, understandably, difficult, especially in a game full of massive enemies with dangerous ranged attacks.

Not only has it elevated the game's difficulty, but it's also elevated the physical difficulty of just playing the game itself. u/Ugoroszczak Elden Ring dance pad run is certainly one of the most unique runs currently for the game.
