There are plenty of weapons scattered throughout the Lands Between. Some of these weapons are found while exploring the land, and some are found after defeating grueling foes. In order to obtain the mightiest of armaments, you typically have to perform the latter. After all, in Elden Ring, you typically get what you earn.
This rule stays true for one of the mightiest rune-farming weapons in the game, The Sacred Relic Sword. If you want to take your Tarnished to the next level, acquiring this S-Tier weapon is the next step you need to take.
Finding And Defeating The Elden Beast
If you want to obtain the Sacred Relic Sword, you must beat Elden Ring's final boss. There are obviously a bunch of steps that will lead you to the game's final foe, but these are the most critical end game steps you must take:
- Travel to the Mountaintops of the Giants.
- Light The Forge.
- Set the Erdtree aflame – this will grant players access to the inside.
- Progress through the Crumbling Farum Azula
- Defeat Maliketh and claim the Rune of Death
- Travel To The Elden Throne
Once you have reached the Elden Throne, climb the steps and traverse the mist. Here you will be faced with defeating the Elden Beast's champion, Radagon of the Golden Order. Once he has been felled, the Elden Beast will emerge to fight you itself. You will see a gigantic version of the sword you wish to wield in his hand. Be wary of the Beast's magic attacks, as these can decimate you in the blink of an eye. Once the God has been slain, you will obtain the Elden Remembrance.
Acquiring The Sacred Relic Sword
Once you have the Elden Remembrance in your possession, travel to the Roundtable and meet with the Finger Reader Enia. Interact with her to receive your power from the remembrance and purchase the Sacred Relic Sword.
This Greatsword is mighty and scales primarily with Faith, Strength, and Dexterity. The sword also deals holy damage and comes with the weapon skill, Wave of Gold. This skill requires a two-second charge that will fire a long-range arc of Holy damage that gets gradually wider the further the distance. This skill scales completely from Faith.
Rune Farming
Once you have upgraded your sword as you please, travel to the Palace Approach Ledge-Road Site of Grace. Equip the Gold Scarab Talisman, face towards the sea of Albinaurics ahead of you, and use the Wave of Gold weapon skill to annihilate the enemies.
Once they're dead, rest at the Site of Grace, rinse, and repeat this process. Players can effectively gain five million+ runes per hour using this method.
