Greyoll is a massive sleeping dragon you can find in Caelid in the northeastern corner of the map of Elden Ring. This gigantic dragon is surrounded by five smaller dragons who will fight together to defend Greyoll should you try attacking it. Greyoll only has one attack, a roar that will wake up the smaller dragons and lower your overall stats, making the fight against the smaller dragons much more difficult.

The dragons standing around Greyoll are all linked together, as killing Greyoll will kill the dragons, and killing all the dragons will kill Greyoll. Greyoll has an incredibly massive health pool — taking it down on its own is very difficult and extremely time-consuming. As with any FromSoftware game, many players have found a few exploits to make this fight much more manageable.

Location And The Traditional Route

Fort Faroth Site Of Grace On Map

Greyoll is located in the northern section of Caelid and just west of the Fort Faroth site of grace. For players wanting to get to this boss much earlier, you can ride torrent along the northern roads through Caelid, trying to avoid some of the stronger enemies of this area, which will eventually lead to the dragon. Greyoll is a massive white dragon that can be easily spotted from some distance.

When fighting Greyoll, one option is to kill the five smaller dragons around it. These five dragons are mostly basic dragon enemies with decent health pools but nothing too unique about them. You may get the attention of more than one dragon at a time, and you will fight multiple at once. With this method, you will fight near Greyoll, which has its unique roar ability. Greyoll's Roar will lower your attack and defense, and once you have all the dragon's attention, Greyoll will continue to roar and keep up the stat negations until killed. The regular dragons are basic dragon enemies with their usual stomp, bite, and lunge attacks. Each time a dragon is killed, it will reduce Greyoll's health by 20%.

Easier Way To Kill Greyoll

Player Attacking Greyoll's Back With Bleed Weapons

If you're alright with a bit of cheese in this boss battle, using a bleed weapon and attacking Greyoll's tail will make this fight much easier but still time-consuming. Heading to the back of Greyoll near Fort Faroth will see Greyoll's tail pointing away from its head and the other dragons. Attacking the tail from here will not get the attention of the smaller dragons and will let you continuously attack Greyoll in peace.

With Greyoll's incredible health pool, it is recommended that you use a bleed weapon to significantly speed up the process, no matter your build. Each time a bleed status effect happens, it will deal with a percentage of Greyoll's health. Your individual attacks will barely amount to anything unless you want to stand there and attack this dragon for an hour, even with some of the strongest weapons in the game.
