Steamforged has been hard at work crafting the Elden Ring experience on tabletop since the company announced it back in February 2022. Now, some months after Elden Ring's debut, it seems like the experienced board game creator is ready to invite players to The Lands Between on tabletop. The studio shared a multitude of content on its YouTube channel, including the full trailer, playthrough, and a quick guide on how the game plays. The minute-long trailer video, on the other hand, offers a glimpse into the game and how it features open-world/dungeon hybrid gameplay along with a diceless combat system.

As stated in the trailer video, Elden Ring: The Board Game comes with dynamic world exploration that allows players to search Limgrave, the starting region of Elden Ring, and face the first great boss in the game, Godrick the Grafted. Players will be able to build their "overworld map and explore Limgrave" in order to find valuable resources and create their own Tarnished. Another point of note is that the game features "diceless, card-driven combat where your hand is your stamina and learning AI-driven attack patterns is key." And those who would like to find out more about how the studio encapsulated the essential compounds of Elden Ring within the borders of the tabletop can visit the Kickstarter page, which is now live.

Elden Ring: The Board Game comes from Manchester-based Steamforged Games, which is known for adapting popular games into tabletop adventures. The board game developer and publisher has previously adapted Dark Souls, Monster Hunter, Resident Evil, and many other titles into tabletop experiences in the past.

In addition to the board game adaptation of FromSoftware's magnum opus, an Elden Ring RPG book is set to release in Japan in 2023. There is no doubt that there will be a plethora of new experiences revolving around Elden Ring as it has boosted its developer's profits by 1,100% by selling more than 16 million copies in the span of eight months.
