The Bull-Goat armor set in Elden Ring is unique, fashioning a large pair of horns protruding from the chest. Like any other armor set in Elden Ring, it comes with four pieces of armor, including a helmet, chest armor, gauntlets, and greaves. For players looking for armor high in poise and physical defense, the Bull-goat armor set has the highest of both out of all the other armor sets in the entire game. The path to reaching Volcano Manor can be complicated, especially for new players. There are three viable ways of getting to the Manor, and no matter which route a player chooses, each is reliable for getting to this destination. Players can walk and trek up Mt. Gelmir, teleport to the Manor after completing Rya’s questline, or teleport to the Manor through the Abductor Virgin. According to a lot of players, the Abductor Virgin route has been the easiest and most accessible way of getting to Volcano Manor, due to the lack of bosses players will face on the journey there. In this guide, we’ll be covering how to get to the Manor via the easiest route.

Step 1: How to get to Volcano ManorVolcano Manor Elden Ring with Lady Tanith

Players must talk to Rya, which will prompt her quest line (which is short). Rya is located north of the Laskyar Ruins in Liurnia of the Lakes, and she’ll be nearby the Birdseye Telescope by a statue inside of a gazebo. Upon speaking to Rya, she’ll explain in desperation that her necklace was stolen from her, and she wants it back. Choose to help her to initiate the quest. The NPC who took her prized possession is located outside of Boilprawn Shack (northwest of Rya), where he’ll be in a crouched position. Talk to the NPC, and he’ll offer to give the necklace back if the player pays him 1000 Runes. Take the compromise to get the necklace and return it to Rya.

After thanking the player for their efforts in catching the thief and retrieving her necklace, she’ll delve into her knowledge of Volcano Manor, in which she informs the player that she works for Lady Tanith of the Manor. After finishing the dialogue, venture to Altus Plateau via the Grand Lift of Dectus. Rya will be seen on top of the lift, and speaking to her will cause her to give her hand to the player, which teleports them to Lady Tanith’s Chambers in Volcano Manor.

Step 2: Beginning the quest for the Bull-Goat Armor

Once players have reached Volcano Manor, speak to Tanith and then Bernahl. Bernahl will give the player a letter, entailing them to defeat and kill Old Knight Istvan. Players can summon Old Knight Istvan within the Coastal Cave right before the Demi-Human Chief boss. Players can invade this NPC at Stormhill near the Divine Bridge. This targeted NPC will drop 1828 Runes, Rune Arc, Furlcalling Finger Remedy, and the Scaled Armor Set. After successfully doing so, return to Volcano Manor and collect the rewards from Tanith for killing Old Knight Istvan. Speaking to the NPCs of Volcano Manor will grant the player various missions along with the perks of the prizes once they’ve been completed. One NPC, Patches, is the key NPC for attaining the Bull-Goat Armor Set. Talk to Patches, and he’ll give the player a letter. The enemy Patches wants the player to kill will be labeled as a red target on their map.

Step 3: Defeating Great Horned TragothRuined Strewn Precipe Location Elden Ring Map

From here, travel to the Ravine Veiled Village and climb up, past the Ruined Strewn Precipice and to the Precipice Overlook. Shortly after finally reaching the top, players will need to defeat the Magma War Maker, a dragon boss. Afterward, rest at the New Site of Grace, where a red summoning marker will spawn, allowing the player to summon the Great Horned Tragoth. Upon defeat, he’ll drop the Bull-Goat Armor, along with 158 Runes, Furlcalling Finger Remedy, and Rune Arc.
