Bethesda and ZeniMax Online Studios have been steadily supporting The Elder Scrolls Online since they launched the MMORPG in 2014, and that continues to show in their upcoming expansion The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset allows a new start for players to jump into The Elder Scrolls Online world with a brand new tutorial section of the game that walks the player through everything they'll need to know about the adventure that awaits them. Additionally, players will not need to have played previous The Elder Scrolls Online releases in order to jump into this expansion, since the original base game is included.

As for existing players, The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset will allow players to upgrade and take their existing hero onto the new island of Summerset and begin their own adventure, no matter their character's level. Players will find level-appropriate content from the beginning of the game.

One of the most requested editions of The Elder Scrolls Online features in this new expansions is the inclusion of Jewelry Crafting. This allows players to be able to forge new gear while leveraging their experience and resources to gain an advantage in their quest.

Lastly, players will be able to join the Psiiic Order, which is a Mages Guild as seen in other Elder Scrolls games. Players will be able to travel to their home island of Artaeum and join the ranks of the mages and gain access to their skill line of mystical powers.

DualShockers was able to go hands-on with The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset during GDC 2018 and play an hour of game's campaign. Please note that I haven't played The Elder Scrolls Online so I'm rusty, but new players can get a preview of the game's tutorial as I get warmed up to the game's mechanics.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset releases on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac on June 5. Anyone interested can pre-order the game's Collector's Edition on Amazon, packed in with Mephala Statue, Razum-dar's Journal, and Steelbook case.
