Earlier today, a video promoting Donald Trump's candidacy as President of the United States was brought to the attention of many by Trump himself via Twitter.

What made the video stand out, is that it used audio from the Mass Effect 2's launch trailer overlayed to Trump's speeches. Electronic Arts promptly reacted by striking down the video on YouTube via copyright claim.

Trump

The video is still active on Trump's Twitter account, as Twitter saves videos linked to it on its own servers, independently from YouTube itself. It's worth mentioning that it wasn't created by the candidate's staff, but it was the private initiative of a supporter.

Electronic Arts' reaction is far from difficult to understand. I can't imagine anyone at the company being too pleased in seeing audio from one of their most successful games used to deliver a political message.

In fact, BioWare developers immediately reacted with none-too-pleased tweets when the video started to go viral.

You can see the original trailer below. Incidentally, it's one of the most epic game trailers ever released, enriched by one of my favorite tracks by Two Steps from Hell, Heart of Courage.
