Today, the industry leader in capture card devices Elgato has announced that it will be teaming up with Streamlabs to fully implement Streamlabs open broadcaster software (OBS) into the Stream Deck.
According to the press release, this integration comes as part of a brand-new update 2.2 for the Stream Deck. Which now allows users to automatically detect and swap between Streamlabs OBS scenes, control audio and video input/output ( including microphone, camera, and webcam overlay) sources, as well as dictating your live stream of video recording all inside Streamlabs OBS.
In addition to this partnership announcement, both companies have announced a co-live stream, which will flaunt the new update in action as well as answer any questions from the community. The live stream will be hosted on both Elgato Gaming and Streamlabs Twitch channels tomorrow afternoon at 3pm PST/6pm EST.
Of course, if you own a Stream Deck, then you know that late last month, update 2.1 was released. Allowing users to save Twitch clips instantly, convert the Stream Deck into their personal Soundboard, as well as publish pre-composed Tweets to Twitter applying attachments such as GIFs, memes, and videos; a full rundown of the update can be found on Elgato’s official Reddit.
