A year ago, Elgato Gaming introduced the next level of streaming equipment to the gaming community in the form of the Elgato Stream Deck. Since it's launch, this small piece of hardware has received numerous updates, introducing new content and enhancing the product's overall worth. On top of it being the anniversary, the product's manufacturer has released a new update to celebrate.

According to the press release, update 3.0 for the Elgato Stream Deck introduces four new features to the product - a drag and drop magic, editable text, GIF icons, and a revamped actions list.

The new action list's new search bar is now more accessible than ever. In the new search bar, streamers can now type in a keyword in the query, and it will immediately open up all related actions about the keyword. Aside from a new search engine, streamers can also utilize the edit button beside the search bar, and modify the actions list to accommodate their preferences.

Similar to the custom key icons, the new update now allows users to enable GIFs during their live stream, making the Stream Deck a lot more personal and serve as an externalized version of its owner. While the editable text will allow gamers to easily customize the size of the color, font, size, and so much more.

Lastly, the new update also utilizes drag and drop magic; streamers may now drag their original icons into the Key Creator directly from the website onto the Stream Deck, eliminating the requirement for players to download the images and add them from there. The new drag and drop feature also allows users to drag an application into the canvas and it will automatically generate an "Open" action with the corresponding icon. On top of that, players that drag an audio file to the canvas, it will automatically produce a Soundboard action.
